Steve Parker is a trombonist / composer / organizer living in Austin, TX. For this concert, he will perform works for trombone + electronics and collaborate with some of Miami’s most esteemed composers and sound artists, including Gustavo Matamoros, Matthew Taylor, Robert Blatt, and Jorge Gomez
Over the past few months, Steve has been visiting Miami via MDC Live Arts, working with local artists, community members, and youth to make music from traffic. This project will culminate in an immersive, site-specific performance on Dec 3rd at the Freedom Tower, featuring a participatory automobile choir, bicycle choreography, and skateboarding ukulele players
