Chris Cutler is an English percussionist, composer, lyricist, music theorist and record label executive. Chris is best known for his work as founding member of the English avant-rock group Henry Cow — a band that enjoys renewed interest, specially from a younger audience right here in Miami.
He has collaborated with many musicians and groups, including Lindsay Cooper, Zeena Parkins, Peter Blegvad, Telectu, Robert Wyatt, Derek Bailey, the Residents, Lol Coxhill, John Zorn, Brian Eno, Mike Patton, Lars Hollmer, Bill Laswell, Iva Bittov, Jad Fair, Kramer, the ARTE Quartett, Bob Ostertag, Miami’s Absolute Zero, and has appeared on over 100 recordings. Cutler’s performing career spans over four decades and he still performs actively throughout the world.
