Miami’s unsung hero John McMinn has performed with most Miami jazz musicians of note but is best known for his energetic free jazz style as a collaborator with drummer Abbey Rader.

John has devoted most of his life to music education and has otherwise chosen to maintain a very low profile.

His playing is unmistakably expressive and musically astute. He is as accomplished a saxophonist as he is a flutist and pianist and has played a prominent role in many critically celebrated recordings in duets, trios and quartets with Abbey Rader.
