a new sound picnic by Frozen Music
the final episode of The Seasons Series
of Sound Picnics
Thursday, May 20 | 6-9pm
2100 Collins Ave
The last in a series of sound picnics by Frozen Music celebrating the seasons, Summer is a site-specific performative installations playing continuously from 6 to 9 p.m. as part of Miami Beach Culture Crawl. Located next to The Bass Museum’s main entrance at Collins Park near 21st Street, Summer consists of an enveloping environment revealing aspects of the sonic signature of Collins Park not accessible to our naked ears. This tapestry of sound can be experienced over a casual stroll around the park, or as a picnic, over an extended period up on a picnic blanket—in which case we recommend you bring your own along with a basket and your favorite picnic fare.
This performance by FM is possible with the support of the City of Miami Beach Department of Tourism and Culture, Cultural Arts Council, and the Miami Beach Mayor and City Commissioners; and Miami-Dade County Mayor, the Board of County Commissioners and the Cultural Affairs Department; and The Blank Family Foundation.
