LC.S3.E06: Recording The Living Soundscape
Curated by David Dunn

Audiotheque
ArtCenter, 924 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach

Live Webcast hosted by Stephen Malagodi:
spectacularsystem.com

David Dunn will play and comment upon various of (mostly) his recordings of (mostly) non-human soundscapes. These have often pioneered new techniques for exploring the immense variety of mechanical vibration that is exhibited by living creatures both in air and other material substrates. He will also talk about the kinds of microphone and transducers used to accomplish these explorations

David Dunn is an assistant professor of sound art and design in the UC Santa Cruz Music Department and a core faculty member in the Digital Arts and New Media graduate program. But he is best know in South Florida as a core member of SFCA [isaw+subtropics]’s Frozen Music Ensemble
