Our June 2012 series of acoustical experiments are colored by the theme of the Artcenter’s summer exhibition “Afterlife”, on view at the 800 Lincoln Road Gallery.
The abstract tones that conform our June summer Listening Gallery experiments are masked by chanting female voices. Together, these sounds create a psychologically cinematic atmosphere typical of content-based sound installations, and reminiscent of Sunday morning church going rituals.
